Brandon Hynes will return to the Deer Lake Red Wings for the upcoming season after delivering another highly productive year in 2025–26.
Hynes was one of Deer Lake’s leading offensive threats during the regular season, recording 16 goals and 22 assists for 38 points in 14 games. His 2.71 points-per-game average highlighted his ability to consistently generate offence as both a scorer and playmaker.
His production continued during the CWSHL playoffs. Hynes scored 15 goals and added four assists for 19 points in 10 games, including four power-play goals and one shorthanded marker.
Following the Red Wings’ CWSHL championship run, Hynes remained productive during the 2026 Herder Memorial Championship Finals against the CBS Baker Flooring Blues. He appeared in all four games of the series and recorded two goals and three assists for five points, while collecting 10 penalty minutes.
